EU proposes ban on cloning farm animals

The Commission Wednesday tabled draft laws banning the cloning of farm animals in the EU as well as prohibiting food from cloned animal being sold. Cloning for research, conservation of endangered species or use of animals for the production of pharmaceuticals and medical devices is not to be banned.
