Montenegro media attacks unacceptable, says EU Commission

"Respect for the rule of law is a pre-condition for accession to the European Union," enlargement commissioner Stefan Fuele said Wednesday during a debate with MEPs on a report on Montenegro's EU accession talks. "Recent attacks against media are unacceptable," he added.
