EU data protection bill to be ready by end of year

EU justice commissioner Viviane Reding on Friday in Luxembourg announced the 2012 EU data protection bill is on track for adoption in 2015. "It looks like the data protection reform will be ready at the end of this year," she said, despite diverging views on how to streamline oversight rules.

EU rejects UK claim it's slowing Brexit talks

The EU is "not confident, but hopeful" that the UK will achieve sufficient progress for 'stage 2' by December, as Britain's Brexit negotiator blames the slow pace of negotiations on the EU ahead of a crucial summit meeting.
