Katainen to replace Rehn as Finland's commissioner

Outgoing Finnish PM Jyrki Katainen will replace Olli Rehn as Finland's EU commissioner, the Finnish government confirmed Wednesday. Katainen, who stands down on Monday, will assume Rehn's post as economic affairs commissioner until the current commission term expires in October. Rehn was elected to the European Parliament last month.
