Merkel and Hollande urge Putin to rein in Ukraine rebels

Germany says Chancellor Merkel and French leader Hollande called Russian president Putin Thursday to urge him to "influence" pro-Russia rebels to hold talks with Ukraine on a ceasefire. Rebels leaders told Reuters they plan to make a stand against Ukraine forces in Donetsk after fleeing their stronghold of Sloviansk, however.
