Russia may ban EU fruit imports

Russia could block fruit imports from the EU, Alexei Alexeyenko, an advisor to the chief of Russia's food inspection service said. The ban is likely as "fruit moths" had been detected in European imports, Alexeyenko said, Ria Novosti reports. The move is seen as retaliation to EU economic sanctions.
