An EU spokesman has said foreign relations chief Catherine Ashton has called an emergency foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels on Friday (15 August) on the crises in Iraq and Ukraine. The meeting could signal more Russia sanctions or EU military aid to Iraqi Kurds.
