France wants extra year to bring deficit within EU rules: Report

France wants to bring its budget deficit to under three percent of GDP only in 2018, German newspaper Handelsblatt reported on Monday, citing EU commission sources. The reason for the further delay - it had previously suggested 2017 - are the presidential elections in 2017.
