Lithuania bans Russian TV station

Lithuania has suspended the broadcasting licence of RTR Planeta, a Russian TV channel, for three months on grounds that it propagates "violence ... war" in its coverage of Ukraine. Karolis Zikaras, a Lithuanian military spokesman, said: “When we deal with open lies, the state has to react".

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
