France and Spain vote for Blatter

The football associations of France, Spain, and 16 other European members of Uefa, voted in support of Sepp Blatter as president of Fifa on Friday, despite a Uefa mandate to vote for his challenger instead. After the vote, Blatter criticised Uefa's "hatred", saying: "I forgive everyone but I don't forget."
