EU commission rejects citizens intiative on vivisection

The European Commission Wednesday rejected the 'Stop Vivisection' citizens' initiative that sought to have an EU law governing the protection of animals used for scientific purposes repealed. The commission said that "some animal studies are still needed to advance research and to safeguard human, animal and environmental health".

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania
