Norway tightens border controls

Norway introduced controls of ferries and borders on Thursday morning over fears that refugees in large numbers will flock to the country following neighboring Sweden's introduction of border controls on Tuesday. Finland and Sweden have urged the Nordic region to hold joint talks on the issue of immigration.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
