Greece gets 31,000 migrants since 1 January

Some 31,244 migrants and refugees have arrived in Greece by sea since the start of the year, 21 times more than the same period last year, according to the International Organisation for Migration. The organisation says projections indicate arrivals in Greece for 2016 "may significantly exceed" last year's 853,650 record.

Commission takes Poland to court on eve of election
