Up to 5,000 Syria-trained jihadists back in Europe

"Between 3,000 and 5,000 Europeans, who gathered fighting experience in terror camps [in Syria], are back in Europe," Europol chief Rob Wainwright has said. He told Germany's Osnabrucker Zeitung that the number of foreign fighters returning from Syria represented the biggest threat to Europe "in more than 10 years".
