EU states call for higher e-cigarette tax

EU states have formally requested the European Commission to table a law next year on taxing e-cigarettes and other "novel" smoking-related products under the same regime as cigarettes. The move would increase tax incomes and consumer prices. The e-cigarette lobby says it will punish people who are trying to quit.
