German minister mulls EU citizenship for young Brits
By EUobserver
Germany's vice-chancellor and economy minister Sigmar Gabriel said Britons living in Germany should get EU citizenship following the UK's vote to leave the EU. Gabriel said that Germany should not "pull up the drawbridge". "Let's offer it to the young Brits who live in Germany, Italy or France so that they can remain EU citizens in this country," he said during his centre-left SPD party's conference in Berlin.
