UK's House of Lords could delay Brexit

A cross-party coalition in the House of Lords is considering blocking the triggering of article 50 - the process for leaving the EU - if courts rule that parliament’s approval is needed before it can be activated. Speaking to The Times, Tory peer baroness Wheatcroft said she hoped delays could lead to a second referendum or a general election to gain a mandate from the people to trigger article 50.
