Child refugee not allowed to bring parents to Sweden
By EUobserver
An eight-year old who was granted protection in Sweden will not be able to invite his family to join him, the Swedish Migration Authority decided on Tuesday (16 August) in one of the first decisions taken under Sweden's new and restrictive asylum law. The child's lawyer said the case may violate the European Convention on Human Rights, which gives children the right to be with their families.
