Turks seeking asylum in Greece may cause diplomatic row

Seven Turkish civilians are expected to request asylum in Greece, after illegally entering the EU country, according to Greek newspaper Kathimerini. Although many details are yet unconfirmed, the possibility that the Turkish fugitives are supporters of Turkish president Erdogan's rival Fethullah Gulen, will create headaches in Athens. Greece is already facing a diplomatic dilemma about whether to extradite eight Turkish officers accused of taking part in July's failed coup.
