Greece to be back in EU asylum system by 2017

The EU commission says member states should be able to return asylum seekers to Greece before the end of the year under the so-called Dublin regulation. "The idea is get Greece back up to the standard of Dublin by the end of the year," said an EU commission spokesperson. The comments follows media reports by Germany's interior minister who said Greece needs to improve conditions to allow for the returns.
