EU probes €1bn 'tax dodge' by Ikea

EU competition boss Margrethe Vestager is examining allegations that Swedish furniture maker Ikea dodged at least €1 billion in taxes over the past six years. Vestager confirmed to Bloomberg TV she is looking at documentation put forward by the European Parliament's Green group, and that her scrutiny is in “very, very early days". Ikea said recently its effective corporate income tax rate is just below 20 percent.
