German satirist: EU should expel Ireland over Apple tax

German satirist and MEP Martin Sonneborn told the EU parliament Thursday that the EU should expel Ireland if it refused to take €13 billion in taxes from US firm Apple that the European Commission has said it should repay. "Take the money and run. [The] €13 billion will buy you many, many iPhones. This will generate more tax income for Ireland. Then you can buy even more iPhones", he said.
