Report: Sweden on heightened security due to Russia
By EUOBSERVER
Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter reported Monday, citing anonymous government sources, that an unspecified threat by Russia prompted authorities to station troops temporarily on the strategic island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea last week. The Baltic region has seen increased tensions following Russian military drills and Nato counter-drills, as Nato prepares to deploy an anti-Russia deterrent force in the Baltic states and in Poland.
