German bank chief warns against EU integration

Germany’s central bank chief, Jens Weidmann, has warned the EU against pushing for further integration after the UK’s Brexit vote, saying such an approach “no longer resonates with the public”. Speaking to a group of European media outlets on Sunday, he warned against overloading the European Central Bank (ECB) with expectations. "This gives me some concern, because the ECB can not solve all problems", he said.
