Brussels sued over air pollution

Five people will file a lawsuit Wednesday against Brussels regional authorities for failing to take against air pollution. The claimants, who are supported by ClientEarth, an organisation of lawyers specialised in environmental cases, want judges to force the authorities to present a plan to fight pollution, especially nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emissions from diesel vehicles.

Macron eyes France-UK border agreement

French president Macron wants the UK to take in more refugees as he revisits the 2003 Le Touquet agreement, which allows British border controls to take place inside French territory.

MEPs target exports of cyber surveillance tech

MEPs have introduced a human rights clause into the export of cyber surveillance technology as part of EU-wide reforms to prevent abuse by autocratic regimes. The Strasbourg plenary will vote on the bill on Wednesday.
