Mogherini: No proposals of new Russia sanctions

EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini said Monday in Luxembourg none of the 28 EU states had proposed new sanctions on Russia due to its air strikes on civilians in Aleppo. "In none of our meetings was this issue raised by any member state", she said. She warned that if the Syria conflict escalated, it could lead to a broader confrontation with Russia that could "easily go out of control".
