EU staff feared dead in Malta plane crash
By EUobserver
A small military plane, belonging to Luxembourg, and believed to have been carrying officials from the EU's Frontex border control agency, crashed in Malta on Monday, with Maltese media reporting that all five people on board had died. The plane was heading for Misrata in Libya, sources told The Times of Malta, amid EU efforts to train Libyan security services to stop migrants from crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Europe.
