Finland eyes post-Brexit bid for EU's UK-based drug agency
By EUobserver
Finland's minister of social affairs and health, Pirkko Mattila, says she wants to examine the possibility of relocating the London-based European Medicines Agency (EMA) to Finland following Brexit. EMA is the EU's decentralised regulator of pharmaceuticals. "Other Nordic countries - like Denmark and Sweden - are also interested in hosting the agency," Mattila said, according to Finnish public broadcaster Yle.
