UK appeals court to hear Brexit case 5 December

The UK Supreme Court will hear on 5 December a case over whether the government needs to consult the parliament before triggering the EU treaty's article 50 to start EU exit negotiations, the court said Tuesday. It said it would "probably" deliver its judgement "in the New Year". The High Court ruled last week that parliament should be consulted, but the government appealed.
