Paris opens shelter for refugees

The French capital opened its first shelter for refugees on Thursday, with 400 beds for single men, as part of a greater effort to remove asylum seekers from the streets following the closures of camps around Calais, reports France 24. Most that ended up on the streets in and around the Stalingrad area of Paris have already left for other shelters outside the city.
