Juncker will not sanction Oettinger for lobbyist flight

European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker thinks that German commissioner Guenther Oettinger made "a blunder, not an unpardonable fault" when he flew on the plane of German lobbyist Klaus Mangold in May. "I don't see why it would deserve a sanction," he told French news website Contexte. "I can dismiss a commissioner without explanation but I keep that for more serious cases."
