Nato to help build Libya defence

Libya's government has asked for Nato's help to secure the country and improve its defence, Nato chief Jens Stoltenberg has said. "The request is about help for building security and defence institutions and that is also what Nato has stated clearly that we are ready to help them with," he said. Stabilisation of the country is seen as key to reduce the flow of migrants crossing the Mediterranean to Europe.
