Positive parallel story to Brexit needed, Verhofstadt says

"Treaty of Rome was the right answer in 1957 - but not to the challenges we face today," Guy Verhofstadt told MEPs in the European Parliament's debate on Wednesday on Europe's future. The Liberal leader called for more capabilities to complete the defence and banking union, find migration solutions and complete the digital single market. "A positive parallel story to the story on Brexit is needed," he said.
