Germany counts 910 homegrown jihadists
German weekly magazine, Der Spiegel, reported over the weekend that the country has 910 jihadists who have traveled to Iraq and Syria. The figures are cited from the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, which says more than half have German citizenship and that a fifth are women. Some 145 are thought to have been killed in Iraq or Syria. Some 800 jihadists were reported a year ago.
