Parliament to discuss 73 vacant UK MEP seats

The European Parliament's constitutional affairs committee is set to discuss for the first time, on Tuesday, what to do with the 73 MEP seats in the assembly after Brexit. Polish centre-right MEP Danuta Huebner and Portuguese Social Democrat MEP Pedro Silva Perreira are in charge of the talks on electoral reform ahead of the 2019 elections, with the ultimate decision to be taken by the European Council.
