EU has no evidence of NGO-smuggler collusion in Libya

The EU's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini told reporters in Malta that the European Union has no evidence to suggest that NGOs are colluding with Libyan smugglers following allegations by an Italian prosecutor. "We do not have as the European Union evidence of that kind," she said when pressed. An Italian prosecutor in Sicily accused NGOs of working with Libyan people smugglers in an effort to save lives at sea.
