Malloch will not be US ambassador to the EU

Ted Malloch "is not under consideration for a position in the Trump administration," US officials told the Financial Times. The controversial US academic, who was involved in Donald Trump's presidential campaign last year, had been promoting himself as the next US ambassador to the EU, including at a Brussels conference earlier this week.

New privacy rules tilted to industry, says NGO

The European Commission's reform of the e-privacy regulation to ensure confidentiality of online messages against industry interest has now swayed in favour of big tech firms, says NGO.
