EU parliament to review expenses rules

The European Parliament has set up an ad-hoc working group to finalise the revision of the list of expenses to be defrayed under the general expenditure allowance - the money MEPs receive each month to cover their office costs. The working group will issue a report on the progress made next October. MEPs' spending has come under scrutiny after various revelations about potential misuses of funds.
