FDP seeks finance job in German government

Germany's liberal FDP party "should not enter into any government in which it is not the minister of finance," FDP board member, Alexander Hahn has told the Bild newspaper. Merkel's CDU has rejected the demand, standing by Wolfgang Schauble who has served as Germany's finance minister in the second and third Merkel cabinets since 2009 and who turned 75 years on Monday.
