UK to make EU new financial offer on Brexit

UK prime minister Theresa May is expected to get the backing of her cabinet to make a new, higher proposal to the EU about the Brexit financial settlement, according to the Financial Times. The newspaper said that the government would be ready to propose over €40 billion, instead of the €20 billion currently on the table. The EU expects between €60 and €100 billion.
