EU court threatens daily fine over Polish forest logging
By EUobserver
The EU court in Luxembourg has issued a second order for the Polish government to cease logging in the Bialowierza primeval forest, for environmental reasons. It said that if Warsaw violated its edict, as it had done a previous one in July, it would be liable to pay a fine of €100,000 for every day that it remained in violation.
