Schulz calls for eurozone budget and minister
By EUobserver
Martin Schulz, leader of Germany's centre-left SPD party, said on Wednesday at a business conference that the eurozone needed its own budget and a finance minister. "If we want Europe to remain strong in the long term, then we also must enable it to act and ensure people see a tangible difference in their lives," he said. Schulz is due to begin coalition talks with his centre-right rival Angela Merkel.
