Spanish judge cancels EU warrant against Puigdemont

The Spanish judge in charge of the case on Tuesday cancelled the EU arrest warrant against former Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont and four other former members of the regional government, who took refuge in Belgium in October. The judge said the warrant should be removed because some of the charges, over rebellion and sedition, do not exist in Belgium and that they should not be separated from other charges.
