US warns on Russia meddling in Serbia and Italy

A US Senate report has warned that Russia is expected to disrupt Serbia's bid to join the EU and to meddle in Italian elections this year. "As it [Serbia] continues to make progress towards integration with Europe, there are signs that Moscow plans to increase pressure on the Balkan country to prevent this outcome," the report said. "Italy could be a target for electoral interference by the Kremlin," it added.
