EU court rejects citizens' anti-Brexit case

The EU's General Court in Luxembourg on Monday rejected a case brought by 13 ex-pat British citizens, saying that the opening of Brexit negotiations "does not directly affect the legal situation of the applicants". The 13 have lived more than 15 years outside the UK and could not vote in the Brexit referendum. They had asked the court for annulment of the decision authorising the opening of Brexit negotiations.
