MEPs agree to end seasonal clock-change in 2021

MEPs of the transport and tourism committee on Monday backed a Commission proposal to end the automatic seasonal time change in 2021, allowing member states to choose between winter or summer time. EU countries have been obliged since 2001 to switch to summertime on the last Sunday of March and to switch back to wintertime on the last Sunday of October. There are currently three standard time-zones in the EU.

Angry farmers block Brussels again, urge fix to 'unfair' prices

Following weeks of demonstrations across Europe, farmers returned to Brussels to protest over unfair competition in prices, as EU agriculture ministers met just a few metres away to discuss a response. The police used water cannon and tear gas.
