May offers to resign, MPs reject eight Brexit options
By EUobserver
UK prime minister Theresa May offered on Wednesday to Conservative MPs to resign if in turn they guaranteed parliament's backing for her withdrawal agreement with the EU, in a third and final attempt to pass the deal. Meanwhile, MPs rejected all eight proposed Brexit options, with a commitment for the government to negotiate a customs union with the EU coming closest. It was voted down by 272 votes to 264.
