Russians detained for smuggling migrants into EU

Authorities in Belarus have detained four Russian nationals for smuggling migrants from South Asia into the European Union, reports RadioFreeEurope. The Russian nationals were reportedly trying to help 10 migrants cross into Lithuania.

This week the EU's data protection rules (known as the GDPR) are two-years old. While the controversial GDPR was intended to offer greater privacy rights, it has also been abused by some authorities to muzzle a free press.
