France, Germany and Spain in fighter jet deal
By EUobserver
France, Germany and Spain on Monday signed a deal to develop a sixth-generation European fighter jet and air combat system, known as the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). The deal is part of a wider plan to reduce military dependency on the United States. Dassault Aviation and Airbus are set to build the jets, which will replace the Rafale and Eurofighters.
