Orban: 'financial guarantees' to reach climate neutrality
By EUobserver
Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban said on Thursday that "Brussels bureaucrats" cannot make "poor countries and poor people pay for the costs of combating climate change". But he said Hungary also wants the European economy to be climate-neutral by 2050 and Budapest was ready to sign up to an agreement on this. "[But] we need clear financial guarantees and we will discuss the details of this," he added.
